Grading soundboard is very controversial. In Japan, piano dealers do not
find it a problem unless they have distinctive cracks on the soundboard.
If there is a crack, of course, we give a low grade as it makes a noise.

very rare to see a
used pianos with the cracks on it in Japanese pianos. Therefore, we give
a grade A to most of the Japanese pianos.
