Classifification

We will explain our each classification. The details are as follows:

Piano's Body
We sell
used pianos as they are. It means that used pianos are unpolished and untuned. We give a grade A to used pianos which we think it will look good if you just polish them. We give a grade B to
used pianos with some scratches, and C to used pianos that you have to refinish.

Piano's Key
We give a grade A to used pianos that are not loose and have no scraches even though its color has changed.

Piano's Pin
We give a grade
A except used pianos which do not function or are very rusty.

Piano's Action

We barely find a problem if the hammer is not extremely over-used. We think that the most important things is if it transfers movement of the keys well. In this matter, most of
Yamaha pianos have no problem on the action.

Soundboard
Grading soundboard is very controversial. In Japan, piano dealers do not find it a problem unless they have distinctive cracks on the soundboard. If there is a crack, of course, we give a low grade as it makes a noise. We do not consider it a problem as long as it makes right sound. It is very rare to see a
used pianos with the cracks on it in Japanese pianos. Therefore, we give a grade
A to most of the Japanese pianos.
